Sometimes killing time is the best way to find new places to adventure in or in the case of the Living Room Cafe, new places to sip a silken latte and crack open a book or two. Situated right off Aurora Ave in North Seattle, parking is easy enough to find and once thru the cafe’s doors, it is immediately evident what a great spot it is. With a San Franciscan vibe, the decor is rustically modern with ample space to play one of the many boardgames which line it’s bookshelves and if you find yourself in the deplorable state of having forgotten your own book, there are plenty to choose from here as well.

My latte was thick & creamy, a seemingly easy enough task to pull off yet as anyone who’s ever had a bad latte can attest to, easy does not guarantee success, but luckily today it most definitely did. The breakfast sammi was tasty as well, with a generous amount of turkey sandwiched between avocado, bacon & melted swiss cheese. A delectable way to start the day really.

Of course being the caffeine glutton that I am, I had to have drip coffee as well after I’d downed my latte, and it was strong and smokey, a nice balance after my milky sweet drink.
The music was a perfect blend of cafe vibes with a side of cool, ranging from Frank Sinatra to Charlie Puth and I could have sat for hours, tucked away in a corner nursing my cup of drip but alas life called. So down went the last swigs of my caffeinated nectar and off I went, energized and ready to take on the world, or at the very least my ever growing to-do list.
